This dryer has been a nightmare from day one. It arrived after a week of moving into our new home and the problems began immediately. A loud high-pitched rattling noise emanates from the dryer echoing throughout the house. This is compounded by a separate loud motor noise. LG sent a repair technician twice and he confirmed the dryers defectiveness and the need for replacement. This technician also mentioned that he was surprised at how little LG insulating dryers now causing the unit to be louder overall. Despite all of this LG continues to provide excuses for delaying a replacement. The situation has worsened after a motor replacement the dryer is now louder than ever. Very disappointed because we have always bought LG washer and dryers but they are just not the same anymore in terms of quality.

Works well...with one design flaw

We have owned this dryer for a month and it does what it is supposed to do...dry clothes quickly and efficiently. Our only issue is the drum light...it does not come on when the dryer door is opened. It only comes on when the power button is pressed and for a few minutes after the cycle ends. This makes no sense to us. Its like owning an oven where the oven light illuminates only when the oven is on and not when the door is opened. We actually had an LG service technician come out and verify this since even the LG call center seemed confused about when the drum light is supposed to come on. Would like to have this feature changed in a future design. The drum light in our previous LG dryer worked the way it is supposed to...when the door is opened. As I said the dryer does work well otherwise.

Ive been using my LG top load washer and dryer for a while now. Im going on 60 days and Im really happy with them Heres why I think theyre a great choice: Dryer: Easy-to-Clean Lint Trap: The lint container is super easy to access and clean. I love that I can get it 100 lint-free which is great for keeping the dryer running efficiently and preventing fires. Even the slot where the container goes is a breeze to clean Fast Drying Time: My clothes are always dry in under an hour which is a huge time saver. Automatic Shut-Off: This is a fantastic feature The dryer senses when the clothes are dry and shuts off automatically. Not only does this save energy but it also gives me peace of mind knowing it wont overheat or potentially cause a fire. Washer: Large Capacity: I can easily wash my king-size comforter in this washer which is a big plus. Efficient Soap Dispenser: I like how the washer sprays all the detergent from the dispenser directly onto the clothes ensuring they get thoroughly cleaned. Quiet Operation: Its not a noisy machine which is a nice change from my old washer. Versatile Wash Options: I can choose a deep wash for heavily soiled items or a water-saving wash for smaller loads which is great for conserving water. Overall: Im really impressed with the performance and features of my LG washer and dryer. Theyve made laundry day much easier and more efficient. If youre looking for a reliable and feature-rich laundry set I highly recommend checking out LG Top Load DLE8400BE

Have used dryer a couple of weeks its so smart easy to use quiet. The clothes are completely dry not a wrinkled mess when done. The door can open side to side or from the top which is helpful when washing bid bulky items vs normal loads. Many options to choose from shows time during each cycle. The one thing Im not wild about is the top of the dryer is slanted so stuff you put on top slides off.
